Wainscott Sewing Society marches in EH Town 375th Anniversary Parade

The Wainscott Sewing Society Society marched in the East Hampton Town 375th Anniversary Parade on Saturday, October 14, 2023. We believe this is the first time the Sewing Society has marched in a parde since it’s founding in 1869! The 10am parade began at the Presbyterian Church, passed the Newtown Lane grandstand at Herrick Park, where we were announced by Town Crier, Hugh King. The parade concluded at the train station. Barbara D’Andrea designed a new banner for us to carry in the parade. A good time was had by all.
